John Holmes

Born August 8, 1944 as John Curtis Estes in Pickaway County. Before entering the porn industry, Holmes was a bible student in Pataskala, Ohio for a number of years. He also served in the military for a time.

After moving to the west coast, Holmes became a major personality in adult films. He died from AIDS-related complications.The film, Boogie Nights, was loosely based on his life.
